You may want the intimacy and freedom of an out-of-hospital birth without giving birth in your own house.
Maybe you live farther from Tulsa. Maybe your home doesn’t offer the space or privacy you want. Or maybe you simply feel more settled knowing you have a separate place prepared for your baby’s arrival.
Through my access to Given Women’s Health Oasis, the birth center through Innovations Family Wellness, Levana Birth families can explore another setting for their birth.
You can build a relationship with me throughout pregnancy while planning to welcome your baby at the center, subject to availability and the center’s requirements.

Your Midwife, With a Different Birth Setting
Choosing a birth center with Levana Birth means we plan your care together while coordinating the location of your birth. I am your independent midwife through Levana Birth Midwifery. Given Women’s Health Oasis is the separate facility where your birth may take place. During your consultation, we’ll talk about how these pieces fit together, what arrangements need to be made, and whether the center is an appropriate option for your pregnancy and due date.

Why Choose a Birth Center?
Families consider birth-center care for many different reasons:
– You want an out-of-hospital birth but prefer a setting outside your own home.
-You live outside my home birth service area and would like to discuss traveling for birth.
-You want more privacy than your current living situation allows.
-You feel drawn to a space intentionally created for birth.
-You want personal, relationship-centered care while exploring a setting that feels right for your family.
There isn’t one place where every woman feels safest or most at ease. Part of our work together is understanding what matters to you and making a thoughtful plan around it.

Planning Your Birth at Given Women’s Health Oasis
Given Women’s Health Oasis offers a dedicated birth-center setting in the Tulsa area through Innovations Family Wellness.
If you are interested in birthing there with me, we’ll discuss:
-Availability around your due date.
-The center’s eligibility and booking requirements.
-How to arrange a tour.
-Facility fees and what they include.
-Your preferences for labor, birth, and immediate postpartum.
-When to contact me and when to travel to the center.
-What happens if your care needs or birth plans change.

Is Birth-Center Care Right for Me?
Birth-center birth, like home birth, is intended for appropriately screened, low-risk pregnancies. We assess your individual circumstances during the initial consultation and continue reviewing whether the planned setting remains appropriate throughout your care. The center may also have its own eligibility requirements.
A birth center does not provide the same resources as a hospital. If you or your baby need hospital care, we’ll discuss consultation or transfer and help coordinate that transition. The goal is thoughtful care that responds to what you and your baby need, even when the plan changes.

Another Option: An Airbnb Birth Near Tulsa
It might sound crazy, but for families traveling from farther away, giving birth in an Airbnb or another short-term rental near Tulsa can offer a comfortable place to welcome your baby and settle in afterward! Depending on the rental and length of your stay, it may also cost less than a birth center.
One of the biggest benefits is having more time to rest. Rather than packing up and heading home a few hours after birth, you can book additional nights to recover, bond with your baby, and get comfortable with feeding before making the drive home. Your midwife provides immediate postpartum care and follow-up visits according to your care plan; staying longer does not mean continuous midwifery attendance.
We’ll plan together to choose a suitable rental, discuss when to arrive to the airbnb, and consider travel time to a hospital if a transfer becomes necessary.

The Equipment Comes With Your Midwife
Choosing a birth center is often about the space, location, and amenities. For home and rental births, I bring equipment to monitor you and your baby, postpartum hemorrhage medications, oxygen and resuscitation equipment, IV supplies, and suturing supplies. You do not need to choose a birth center simply to have access to those supplies. We can discuss the specific resources available at each location so you can make an informed choice.

You don’t have to choose between home and birth-center care before meeting me! We can talk through your location, health history, preferences, and questions together. My hope is that you leave our conversation with a clearer understanding of your options and what feels right for your family.
